You're Not Lost—You're in Divine Transit
Dear Friends,
Let’s talk about change. Not the poetic kind that shows up with butterflies, flowers and breakthrough moments, but the kind that squeezes in mid-laundry and mid-life, stuffing you into skinny spiritual jeans and calling it "growth." Tight, uncomfortable, and suspiciously judgy.
We say we want transformation. But do we really? We pray for it. We even make vision boards about our goals and dreams. But the reality? Change is rarely elegant and put together like our beautiful cut out photos on our board. In fact, change usually arrives looking like an uninvited houseguest with body odor—tracking in chaos, asking awkward questions, and rearranging your furniture.
The Awkward Blur of Becoming
There's this weird place where you’re no longer who you used to be, but not yet who you want to be. There comes a point in spiritual growth where getting stuck in an airport no longer throws you off. You sip your overpriced coffee, stare into the abyss, and think, I’ve survived worse layovers—in life and in faith.
Spiritual growth doesn’t come from staying put and having all the answers. It comes from standing in at a holy tension—trusting Gods process when everything feels unprocessed.
Humor in Holy Discomfort
Once, during a career shift, I asked God for clarity. And He cultivated everything for my relocation for this new career change I called my next chapter. With GPS, I arrived, excited, and wondering what was in store for me. Months went by and I began to wonder if this new journey was God’s divine order or my own self sabotage. Here I am in a new state surrounded by unseasoned food and lackluster weather. I longed for the hot Texas summers. While sitting in silence in my car questioning all my life’s choices, I heard it: growth isn't always glamorous. Sometimes it tastes like unflavored food from Minnesota and sounds like whispered prayers in parking lots.
Change humbles you. It forces you to step outside of your comfort zone. And if you’re lucky, it also teaches you that humiliation can make you a better version of yourself.

Life Lessons
Discomfort isn’t failure. It might mean you’re exactly where God wants you—loosened from comfort, ready for surrender.
Growth is messy on purpose. You’ll trip over old triggers, stumble into new fears, and occasionally cry in the cereal aisle. That’s holy ground too.
Faith thrives in friction. When nothing makes sense, grace becomes your GPS.
If you’re feeling lost in the churn of change, I want you to hear this: You’re not being punished, you’re being planted. Transformation doesn’t come with a travel brochure—but it always comes with purpose.
So, breathe. Laugh. Cry if you need to. But keep moving forward.
From your Friend, Me
